2025 Scottsdale Overseed Schedule

 Scottsdale Golf Overseed Schedule 2025

Plan Your Tee Times—and Your Home Search—Like a Local

Fall in Scottsdale means cooler temps, busy fairways, and beautiful winter grass on some of the most iconic golf courses in the country. But before you book your round—or buy your dream golf property—it’s important to know about overseeding.

What is Overseeding?

Every September, most Scottsdale-area courses close for about 2–3 weeks to transition from summer Bermuda grass to winter Ryegrass. This process keeps the greens vibrant and playable through the cooler season, but it also means select courses will be closed or limited to cart-path-only during this time.

As a local realtor who specializes in golf course communities, I always recommend my clients plan around overseeding if they’re scheduling fall tee times—or home tours near the fairways.

Why Overseed Season Matters for Buyers

If you’re dreaming of a home with golf course views, fall is one of the most active times to buy in Scottsdale. As the grass greens up and snowbirds return, demand rises for both tee times and real estate in golf communities.

Overseed season is the perfect window to:

  • Tour homes while courses are quiet

  • Scope out different neighborhoods without peak-season crowds

  • Close on a home just in time for the prime golf season (October–April)

Whether you’re eyeing Troon North, McCormick Ranch, or a lock-and-leave near Kierland, I can help you find the right fit for your lifestyle and budget.
